Nick Fuller is Red Mountain Scientific’s Lead Developer. He has been an integral part of the Red Mountain team since the beginning. An emerging software developer, he excels at finding solutions and putting them to use in software. He has coding experience in a variety of languages including C++, MySQL, Java, VB.net, and Python. On top of that, he is also a skilled pilot who helped design both of Red Mountain Scientific’s autopilot apps, assists with our AI platform, and manages our work with the Colorado State University team – all while constantly endeavoring to improve Red Mountain Scientific’s flight missions and operations for better efficiency and quality.
We asked Nick a few questions to help you get to know him better. Here’s what he had to say:
WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND?
I have a BA in Business Administration, Minor in Accounting, and Certificate in Computer Programming. I have worked in sales, purchasing, marketing, merchandising, customer service, warranty, repair, shipping, receiving, and inventory management (to name a few).
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT YOUR JOB?
I enjoy learning new things every day and working through problems as they arise. I enjoy the flexibility that we have at Red Mountain Scientific and the variety of projects that I get to participate in.
WHAT DO YOU WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT YOU THAT THEY PROBABLY DON’T?
I have never had a dog as a pet.
DO YOU HAVE ANY HIDDEN TALENTS OR SOMETHING NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT YOU?
Yes, but if I tell you then I will not have any hidden talents left so – no, I do not!

Freshly smoked salmon
WHAT IS THE BEST ADVICE YOU WERE EVER GIVEN?
If you want to move up, do your bosses job for them.
WHAT DOES GREAT SERVICE MEAN TO YOU?
It means doing what you can to take care of the customer’s needs in a timely manner.
WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT?
I am passionate about rafting and enjoy growing and preserving my own food.
WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE SPORTS TEAM?
I don’t keep track of sports, but I root for the Colorado Avalanche if they are playing.
WHAT GETS YOU OUT OF BED IN THE MORNING?
The hope that every day will be better than the last, and that life continues to get better!
Nick’s previous career was in the outdoor industry and included positions in sales, marketing, inventory management, purchasing, customer service, warranty, and shipping/receiving.
Nick is an outdoor enthusiast and spends his free time rock climbing, rafting, running, skiing, and backpacking. He maintains a year-round garden and uses canning, drying, and fermentation to help preserve his crops.
